Next Steps for Starting a Transportation Franchise

There are six steps between you and a logistics and packaging business. Here’s what you can expect in the SUPPLY POINTe franchise application process.

1

Fill out the brochure

The pallet business appeals to you because it’s a key piece in a growing industry. It’s a practical business opportunity, and you’re interested in next steps for starting a transportation franchise. So, after you peruse the SUPPLY POINTe website you should fill out the form to get a franchise brochure that will explain the opportunity in more detail. We’ll contact you to schedule the next step, an introductory call.

2

Have the introduction call

Once you fill out the form and receive a franchise brochure detailing the ins and outs of the pallet business, a SUPPLY POINTe representative will reach out to you to set up an introduction call to give you more information about the transportation franchise opportunity. The call is the first chance for potential franchisees to get answers to any questions they may have, and for SUPPLY POINTe to determine whether the person is a good franchise candidate. Note, this call is not always one single call. It may be the first in an ongoing conversation to get to the next step, the franchise application.

3

Fill out the franchise application

SUPPLY POINTe may have follow up questions, and any concerns with your franchise application will come up during this step. For instance, during this step we’ll determine whether or not the franchisee has enough liquid capital. We’ll also follow up on potential issues, things that appear in the background check or something that cropped up from a referral.

4

Review the franchise application

SUPPLY POINTe may have follow up questions, and any concerns with your franchise application will come up during this step. For instance, during this step we’ll determine whether or not the franchisee has enough liquid capital. We’ll also follow up on potential issues, things that appear in the background check or something that cropped up from a referral.

5

Review the FDD

Once you submit an application, SUPPLY POINTe will send the FDD or franchise disclosure document and review it with you to go over the numbers and explain what they mean. Without guidance, an FDD can be a daunting document, and each franchisee’s situation is different. For instance, during this step we’ll work with you to determine which items on the FDD are most relevant – like equipment that might need to be leased or bought used – this step is all about getting up close and personal with the numbers.

6

Have a discovery day

After you review the FDD, you’ll spend the day with leaders from the SUPPLY POINTe team in either Cincinnati, Ohio or Charlotte, North Carolina. They’ll walk you through our franchise program and show you what you’ll be doing day to day, what systems we have in place, what training and support is available to you and more. Essentially, you’ll see everything you’ll be getting if you decide to move forward. Then, all that’s left to do is sign the franchise agreement, and you are a business owner.
